Plot
Michael Jackson’s “HIStory on Film: Volume Two” recaps much from the first volume, including “Beat It,” as well as “Smooth Criminal,” and “Thriller,” but again offers an array of appearances in addition to videos. Here is the Motown “Moonwalk” appearance from television as well as a 1995 MTV Music Video Awards performance. Videos like “Liberian Girl” is loaded with celebrity cameos. There is an emphasis on Jackson as a world figure, with such videos as “Earth Story” and “Stranger in Moscow” as well as one filmed in Brazil called “They Don’t Care About Us.” Michael Jackson also allows some personal psychological glimpse of himself with songs and dances that reflect his attitudes about “Childhood” and “You Are Not Alone.” The final entry on the disk is “Blood on the Dance Floor,” which features the 1997 Jackson in full makeup. The volume has two discs to cover the approximately fifteen videos and clips.
